School-Age Program (6-12 Years of Age)
The oldest children in a Mini University center are the school age children,
affectionately referred to as "the Seniors."
These children range in age from 6-12 years old,
and are transported from local elementary schools to our Wright State University and Miami University centers.
The emphasis in our school-age program is placed on group activities that stress
cooperation and respect for others.
The children are allowed time to explore, socialize and complete homework with their peers.
The classrooms are full of technology and fun, providing opportunities to relax after school,
eat a hearty snack, and learn.
The greatest compliment Mini University has received about the quality of our
school age programs is the "Top Ten" list created by the Seniors.
This list identifies the reasons why the students in this age group love coming to
Mini University! As children get older and feel they don't need to come to "childcare" anymore,
it's nice to know Mini University has a quality program designed with their interests in mind, where parents
know they're safe and kids know they'll have fun.
Summer Camp
Mini University offers a GREAT summer camp for school age children
(those who have completed Kindergarten through 12 years old.)
This "all inclusive" camp provides children with fantastic all day field trips,
educational and FUN projects and experiences, and a trip to a local pool each week.
We also make it very easy for parents, and you don't have to worry about packing lunches
(breakfast, lunch and snacks are included!) and there are no additional fees for weekly field trips.
